eDesk will allow you to create delivery configurations in your account so we can calculate estimated delivery times for you.

This help file will guide you through setting up these configurations.

Before you start

  • You’ll need an Admin login to eDesk. If you don’t have an Admin login, you can request one from an Admin user within your business.

01 Shipping Times

The first thing you need to do is set up shipping times in your eDesk account. To find out how to do this, simply follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to Settings → Mailbox Settings → Delivery.

  2. At the top of the section, you will have a default shipping time added automatically.

  3. Click on Edit to make changes to them.

  4. You will then be able to change your Office hours and your Shipping days.

02 Add a Delivery Configuration

Once you set up your shipping times, you will then be able to create a Delivery configuration. To find out how to do this, simply follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to Settings → Mailbox Settings → Delivery.

  2. At the top of the section, click the +Add Delivery Configuration button.

03 Setting up the Delivery Configuration

From there, the first step would be to select the destination for which this delivery configuration applies. You will be able to select the destination of your choice from the drop-down list.

Pro Tip: if the configuration is valid for multiple destinations, you can tick multiple countries from the list.
After that, the screen will be split into two different sections:

  • Standard: this refers to the delivery configuration for standard orders.

  • Expedited: this refers to the delivery configuration for expedited orders.

For each section, you will be asked to fill in the following details:

  • Cutoff Time: orders received after this time of the day won't dispatch that day to the destination(s)

  • Hours to dispatch: this would be the number of hours it takes you to dispatch a standard order to the destination(s).

  • These are office hours: if this checkbox is ticked, the number of hours you inputted previously will be considered as 'office hours'.

  • Shipping days: this would be the number of days it takes for an order to be delivered to the destination(s).

After that, simply hit Create Delivery Configuration.

You will see all the configurations you created at the bottom of the screen and this will allow eDesk to accurately estimate delivery times for you.
