To ensure your WhatsApp onboarding goes smoothly, please ensure that you have the following:
01. You’ll need a WhatsApp business app
The WhatsApp Business app is a free-to-download app.
To set up the WhatsApp Business app:

Download the WhatsApp Business app from the App store or Play store

Verify your business phone number.

Restore your account from a backup, if you wish.

Set your business name.

Build your business profile
02. You’ll need a facebook account and business page
The onboarding process happens via Facebook, so you need a Facebook account, with a business page connected to it.
You’ll then need to connect your Facebook page to your WhatsApp business account
Connecting a Facebook Page to your WhatsApp
To connect a Facebook Page to your WhatsApp:

Navigate to your Facebook Page.

Click Settings.

In the column on the left-hand side, click WhatsApp.
Note: You can only find WhatsApp in the Facebook Page for your business. You can't find WhatsApp in your personal Facebook profile. -
Choose your country code.

Enter your WhatsApp Business phone number.

Click Continue.

Input the confirmation code that you receive.

Click Confirm.
You've connected your Facebook Page to your WhatsApp.
03. To use business initiated templates you'll also need to verify your business.
Once you’ve downloaded the WhatsApp business account you can start messaging customers, but to initiate conversations with clients using templates you’ll need to verify your business.
